Permanent License in the State of NEVADA!!!

I am a Filipina and located in the Philippines. I just passed NCLEX (Nevada). Nevada requires Social Security Number before they can issue a permanent license. The thing here is I do not know how to get it given that I am not in the States right now. If in one year I won't be able to get a Social Security Number, I need to re-apply again. What is the best thing to do here? Please help...Thank you very much....God Bless

Welcome

Moved to the International forum

You will not be able to get a SSN until in the USA with a valid work visa. Currently looking at several years processing due to retrogression. Does the letter actually state you will have to reapply again? It may be that you move your results to another BON

It says on the letter that it is only valid for one year from the date received by the Board. If your application expires you will need to reapply, pay app fee and resubmit fingerprints. So how can I move my results to a different BON? What State would you recommend? This is a great help. Thank you so much...

You could clarify with the BON as retrogression means you can not meet their requirements and could they consider an extension

Suggest that you apply for licensure to another state and have the NV BON forward your results, just as is done for those that tested for CA.

Most states are not making exceptions to this rule any longer. And there is no way to get a visa that will permit you to work at this time and that is the only way to get the SSN#.

I would contact them to see if they have an extension if out of the US, which I doubt; and if not, then follow the threads of what we tell others to do in this case.
