Overseas Pharmacy Graduate

Hi,

I have done my Bachelors in Pharmcy from India and I am interested in doing Masters in Nursing (MSN) degree in USA but they need me to be an RN before I can apply.

Here are fe wof my questions.

1. I have completed 4 years of Bachelors in Pharmcy from India. After reading previous threads about how easy it is to get RN licensure from New York. I plan to do the same but the the Special Credentials Verification required for New York, does 4 years of Bachelors in Pharmcy from India qualify?

2. Visa Screen Application - Do I need to do visa screening, to get RN licensure from New York? I am currently on H4 visa and dont plan to work only want to get admit to MSN program.

3. Is there any professional agency that can provide me information or help me out, I am willing to pay for their services.

Thanks in advance,
Anu

You have to start all over and attend nursing school first. Your pharmacy degree will not help you at all as far as getting licensure as an RN. You will need to attend nursing school for your RN first, or find a program that gives a dual degree. But what you are trying to do, just will not work. You don't have any nursing trianing for anyone to do a review of. You can't just apply for licensure as an RN without having the schooling first. NY is easy if you are a graduate fo a professional nursing program, but no other way.

A Visa Screen Certificate is required for pharmacists to practise in the US but that has nothing to do with the CVS for RNs to work in the US.

Sorry...................
