Ontario RN Student Inquiry

I am a mature student currently working on the pre-requisites at night. I have received an 88% in English and I will finish Chem 11 and Bio 12 by March the 4th. I will then begin Chem 12 and the Math credit which will be completed on June 15th . I've applied in Ontario at Ryerson, Centennial, George Brown, Humber, Georgian and Seneca.I've would like to take the 4 year BScN program.

I was told yesterday by Centennial that they do not offer mature students conditional offers unless they only have one of the pre-reqs outstanding. She said from prior years most mature students do not get in until the year after they completed all pre-req.

From previous years did anyone receive or know any mature students know of anyone that received a conditonal offer although they had more than 2 of the pre-req outside outside of the Feb 1st equal consideration deadline.

She advised me that by June there will probably be no spaces left

I really do not want to wait another year to start the program.

I spent a lot of money to apply as I previously went to college and university and was required to request transcripts from both previous institutions.

I am not interested in taking the RPN.

Any suggestions in regards to alternate routes?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

If, after completing the pre reqs, you do have to wait another year, then you could take some lower level and/or professsionally related electives. You do not have to be enrolled in the nursing program to take these courses, and any courses you can complete ahead of time will help lighten your overall workload.
