Just got my eligibility from NY BON yesterday. Took about 11 months more or less. Question is, how long is the validity of said eligibility? and once I do get to register with Vue, and receive my ATT how long would the ATT be valid? Still in the process of planning out my year....thanks in advance for the replies to my questions guys!

Good luck to all of us!

Should tell you on your letter/email that you got saying you are eligible. Most ate 90 days for ATT but some states are longer.

Limited permit is only issued to those people who have come to the US without taking NCLEX.This is issued for you to work while you are waiting for the result of your NCLEX. They will not issue you a limited permit since you are in the Philippines, with the retrogression in effect the best way is for you to secure all requirements first, gain experience and worry about immigration later. By the way have you started your immigration process?(I-140,Visa fee bill,DS-230)
NYSED has emailed me to confirm my eligibility, but they did not give me a license number. How can I register for NCLEX?
thanks very much

You will not get a license number until you pass the NCLEX exam and have one issued to you. You need to register with Pearson-Vue, which I believe that you have already done and then wait to receive the ATT.

NY will not send you anything else until you take and pass the exam.

I just graduated this past March. I'm about to process my application for NY RN license. Should I file my cgfns verification and NCLEX at the same time? Or should the CVS be applied first, I am aware that both of these applications takes a long time so I need to work with it asap.

My second question is I have an on-going petition from my husband for US permanent residency, DO I have to take the Philippine board exam? Which of the licensing application; CVS or NCLEX needs my local board result?

I don't think NY requires local boards currently although that may change. I would start the CVS process first and then after a few months send NY application in. Will take approx 6-12 months to get eligibility to sit NCLEX. CVS is a service that is only for NY and CGFNS do all the running around for the documentation which is why it takes so long. They will wait for 6 months and then send what ever documents they have to NY and NY will then assess your file. If CGFNS get everything sooner they will send your file to NY sooner
