Default Re: nursing requirements in aussie
Hi I also wanted to work in Australia. Im also a passer in 2006. My sister is in South Australia and asked her to call the BON there if what are the requirements. This is for South Australia, I dont know the requirements for the other parts though.

Well she told me that as a foreign licensed nurse, you need to study in one of their schools for nurses such as TAFE as a bridging program. They would train and educate you as long as you can finish the course. There are also examinations so if you enroll to that particular school it is not a guarantee that you pass.

You do not need to pass their BON exam though just as long as you have a license here in the Philippines and can pass the bridging program.

here's a link: http://www.nursesboard.sa.gov.au/educ_oaep.html

You also need to have an IELTS score of 7.

I really wanted to enroll to that course but requiring you to pay more or less 150,000 php is a lot for me so I opted to take the NCLEX path.

I hope this helps you. Good luck.
