hi hup,
I am sorry that my post is not in response to your query, but may i ask how did you apply to NZ? Did you use an agency? If so, which one? And how long did the application processing take?

My RN sister told me that an agency in the Philippines is recruiting her for a student visa to go to NZ just so to speed up things. Then after 6 months, she can apply for adjustment of satus. The agency told her to prepare $7,000.00 to cover for processing, airfare and maintainance. I kind of doubt this agency.

I hope everything is going fine with your preparations. goodluck

It's ok. I have a sponsor. They will shoulder my schooling. I don't have any agency because my friend's friend is working there. She's also a nurse,,,so, she recommended me to her manager. I downloaded the list of things i need to accomplish(www.nursingcouncil.org.nz) and then I sent it to the nursing council with fee. Then I need to prepare a show money costing 3000 US dollars for the immigration after I receive a letter from NZ nursing council then I will be the one to pay for my plane ticket. Hope it will help. God Bless!

You always want to select an area to work in based on what your preferences are as if you do not like it, then you are not going to last in that position.

This is the same for working anywhere in the world. If you do not truly like it, then you will not be happy with it.

Thank you hup.
Good for you that you are able to find a sponsor. That Competency assessment program makes it really expensive considering all other expenses to take care of (e.g. airfare, maitainance etc) to go there . I am also looking for a facility that could sponsor like yours. So when are you leaving?
