Nurse for Ireland

Hi!

I am an RN in the Philippines who graduated in 2006. I only have a 6 month OR experience in a hospital and I have already received a decision letter fron An bord Altranais.

What steps should I take next for me to come to Ireland? Will it affect my placement application if I only have 6 months experience?

Thanks so much!

Probably yes, the more experience the more the likelyhood that you will find an employer.

You could look at the hospitals see their vacancies and apply if there's a job available. It'll be easier to get a visa if you have an employer, I think you can also apply for a visa without having an employer yet, just don't know how good your chances will be.

I see. Thanks for that.

So what I can do now is apply for adaptation at the hopitals by sending my CV and a copy of my adaptation letter and hope for being sponsored for a work visa, is that right?

I'm still here in the Philippines. Is that how it works?

Thanks!
