There's a long list of requirements for that. And I suggest you to make extra copies so that if ever you need it for something else, you wouldn't have to go back and get it again. This will save you time and effort.

As for Queensland, it is stated in their checklist (#7) that if you cannot provide evidence of recent practise, and fitness and competence to practice, you will be required to address ANMC standards for the registered/enrolled nurse. I'm guessing this is where the competency program comes in. I'll double check for you. I'll mail the council and see what they'll tell me.

Hi hotpotato101. There is this training school that I just discovered which claims to be the only one which gives review in the Phils. The reviewers, in fact, come from Queensland Nursing Council (QNC) itself. This school also acts sort of an agent to QNC. Btw, what is name of the agency you have attended in the past, maybe we are referring to the same thing.

Has QNC responded to your application yet? How much time did it take for them to respond?

By the way, I-e mailed an agency in australia, and the consultant suggested that i try applying in victoria since i do not have any experience yet. What would be the difference between queensland and victoria? and which could be faster?
Hello pastasana. I hope to send my QLD probably next week. Maybe you could start your application even without your license number. Just start uploading the needed forms so you could start complying their requirements.

Do you really mean faster or easier? Among the states in Oz, it is believed that it is much easier to get your license if you apply it in QLD then, eventually if you passed their competence exams, you could transfer your license into any state you like, say Victoria. I heard Victoria prefers overseas applicants which have one year clinical experience.

Shish, I hope you could share the training school or review center affiliated to QNC but it is prohibited to post it here. Sigh! I also hope to send my application in the coming days. Have you taken your IELTS already?

Aelith: I cant thank you enough for the infos.

Hi Shish, Do you already have your license card? Because this is where my problem lies. I went to PRC last week to ask them fill out the verification form that goes with the QNC1 Application form. The registrar said she needs my license card before she could fill it out for me. So I guess I have to wait until November to get this started. I emailed QNC if I could send the rest of the requirements but no reply yet.

@ pastasana: I would advise you to wait for your license to come out. It is clearly stated in Queensland Nursing Council's website that if you pass your application without all the requirements needed then they will just return to you your application with a checklist and letter advising you to complete the necessary requirements. And then you will be given a certain amount of time to follow up the requirements (6 months I think). If you are not able to follow up the requirements within the time span given, you'll have to re-apply. So, if I were you, I'll just wait and pass your application when you have your license. It'll be less of a hassle for you in the end.

You guys could all start with your IELTS exam if you haven't taken the exam yet. That's one of the first things that you need to do. After that, you can start with your review for the Challenge test. Like I said, you're looking at a year-long process for the whole registration alone. But better start with the application as soon as you can.

am i allowed to post the name of the agency here? maybe ill just PM you. by the way i just lodged my application recently but i think nowadays the queue is getting longer. a friend told me he got his result after a month but i also knew someone who's waiting for more than a month now so i guess it will take a while. I already got an acknowledgment letter from them saying that they received my application already and now im just waiting for the result.

I think I have a pretty good idea of what drives you to go to dreamy Australia. It might have something to do with the heart and it's got nothing to do with anatomy. It's very admirable (and cute), this big effort that you're doing evidenced by the vast knowledge of the Australian immigration that you're sharing with us and that we're also very thankful for. God bless you in your endeavors.
