CONGRATS cioman! fellow davaoena nurse here. I am still awaiting the results of the assessment since I was asked to submit additional docs. I received an email last week informing me the board would be convening this Nov20 to decide on pending applications. I'm praying they'd still allow me and all others with pending applications to go on with the bridging program.... Goodluck to all of us!

Thanks for the info Ryan,

Im in Maidstone, just near Footscray.

YES, I will be going to the Filipino Fiesta here in Victoria. Im longing to see fellow Filipino RNs here.

I had some revision of my plans re doing BP here, I opted to study Bachelor in Nursing in ACU Melbourne, anyway they do credit many of my subjects from the Philippines. I did this because I have no experience and afraid to go back to the Philippines after doing 3 months BP and no sponsored me for a work.

I plan to apply for PR after 2 yrs studies, anyway I can work as PCA here while studying. The problem is, I cant still find work here.

Best of luck guys...

Hi Farah, So you did not continue your BP anymore? How much is the tuition fee for you new degree?

So its not true that it is easy for one to get work after getting registered? This information got me worried. I hope that this is not the case. What type of work are looking into ? Will it be nursing related?

I pray that your plan brings you success and hope for those wishing to follow and eventually end up in NBV

background, if a company is hiring a manager and a supervisor, it is better to apply for manager, they will not hire as manager then they will hire you as supervisor, but if you are lucky then they will hire you as manager..

i sent my applications, "beautifully|, cleanly, orderly, specially, with the intention of applying for a license without the need the of undergoing BP.. The context of my application documents and application letter was to convince them that i am a competent nurse; i presented to them all my credentials (exams, topnotcher, high grades, etc., references) anything that you would help persuade them to grant me immediate license..

Initially, they had positive reply subject to final decision of the nursing board.. As i have mentioned in my previous post, i am presently having my nursing training at DMC (Davao Medical Center in Davao City).. yes, i have not yet been in Australia, i am just here in Davao City, waiting for the final decision on my nursing license, through prayers they will approve, hence i will receive my aus. license sometime in December 2009..

im crossing my fingers and continue my prayers..
