New Visa Processing Dates

by suzanne4 Platinum Member

In the latest information that I have just received: California is June, 2005, Vermont is March, 2005, and Nebraska is August, 2005.

So, Nebraska has moved into the Number #1 slot. These dates are always going to be changing.

Suzanne, you are talking about I-140 or I-485 processing date?
Which one is more important?

Those dates are for the I-140. Just trying to show that dates can vary between the processing centers and they can change who does things the fastest as well.

Vermont used to be the fastest, then California took the lead, and now the Number #1 spot belongs to Nebraska. The times are always changing for processing.

Can you please tell me which service center does Florida belong to? I have a friend in Florida she got approval just in 2 months.

Initial approval really doesn't mean much, the biggest issue is where the person is located and how long the wait is for an embassy interview there.

Getting approval is only the beginning of the process.

The girl herself is in Florida and she is going through AOS. She is not a nurse but her husband, who is a scientist filed the petition as a primary candidate. She told me that everything else was done but the green card is not issued because she doesn't have her birth certificate here in USA. Once she sends the birth certificate to the USCIS(or what) she will get her green card. And according to her it took only 6 weeks for the whole process. . She just came to USA in June last week on H4 . I heard that AOS can be filed only after 6 months of US stay. I wonder if it is possible...
