There are really no problems w/ that. You can be petitioned by that letter alone coming from CA BRN. All you need is proof that you passed the NCLEX to be petitioned and not the actual license. You should be out of the country w/in a year anyway if your immigration papers were handled correctly.

Do you mean a Phillippine SSS#? Because here in the US it is known as a SSN ( Social Security Number given by the Social Security Administration) )and only American citizens, legal immigrants and persons with visas like working visas can have it.
With out the SSN, CA BON will only gove you a letter that you passed but not the hard license.

Hi there!! I've got this query in my mind since I am a new grad in the Philippines and a lot of my friends told me to go to other state however I want to be in California.
What will happen if I don't have a SSN within 3 years? will i have to take the NCLEX all over again or can I still get my license through paying proper fees? Is there any solution for this?
please help!! thank you so much

this is an old thread, have you checked out the CA thread. There is plenty of info about this in there. Also try a search as Suzanne has posted on this many times
