New student nurses a question

  1. hello everyone

Im starting my diploma in October im wondering how many students have been given their start dates and provisional nformation on course modules for their studies. This is before they have even started the course. Im only asking as I received tons of irrelavant data on the anglia ruskin site that for enrolled students and new to be students. Im approxamating half of the stuff shown is out of date or irrelivant to new students starting in October. but some of it is relivant but it annoys me when they have the wrong start dates on forms for Oct . I have been reading for about 2 hours looking for reading lists and other important information. The excitement is finally sinking in to the realisation of what im ambarking on. I cant wait and am anxiously awaiting my first day with all sorts of questions and ponder what is it like? Am i going to fit in? The usual questions we all face. How are other students facing the countdown til they start their nursing degrees and diplomas. I look forward to your comments

    Hiya,

I start my post grad officially on Monday. I matriculate on thursday! I have been very nervous about it, but I worked in a nursing home on saturday and it's going to be a part time job, and although hard, I enjoyed it. I did leave feeling good.

I just don't know what to expect from studies etc, but sure i'll get into the swing of things again. I have received time table but that's really it. I've been measured for uniform, had my medical, bought some books, but apart from that.........no other info really.

It is daunting, but also exciting. xx

i went past the school of health at my hospital today, all the new students were outside there chatting.
it doesnt seem like five minutes ago that i was there, sometimes i miss it.
good luck both of you, its a rollercoaster ride, but an enjoyable one.

    Yes Enjoy it...

We had our 20 year reunion of all the girls I triained with last weekend and I couldnt go...I rang one of them up on their cell phone and spoke to them all individually...and they were all laughing about the good times we had and going through the photos.....(I certainly felt homesick then!!!)

    Anyway have a great time:wink2:

Enjoy the first few weeks until you find your feet.
If you'll be living on a student budget, try not to buy books yet until you've read through some ( from the library, of course ). You'll see the best book that'll 'fit' the language you'll be comfortable with. Other than that, good luck.
