USCIS TO ALLOW PREMIUM PROCESSING FOR FORMS I-140, I-765, I-539

Today the USCIS announced that it will soon include I-140s, I-765s, and I-539s in the Premium Processing (PP) program. Under this program, the USCIS will guarantee that an approval or RFE within 15 business days of filing. The charge for the expedited process is $1,000. The USCIS has not yet announced the effective dates for this program.

USCIS will not allow PP for I-140s filed as National Interest Waivers (NIW), but will allow PP for I-140s filed for EB1, EB3, Schedule A and all non-NIW EB2s.

Thanks for the info suzanne just one question...... EH? LOL!!!

Any chance of a breakdown of what all that means? Is one of those visas the one a uk nurse would need to get into usa on a green card after passing nclex and an employer sponsering them. Does this mean it will be quicker for us from employer sponser to getting green card to enter usa?

Cheers,

Ruthx

Nurses are included in this and means that for a fee you can process your immigration in 15 working days instead of several months

WOW this is amazing news I wonder when it will start I am just waiting for my CGFNS Credential Evaluation Service report to come back to tell me what hours I need to make up then its a case of finding a place to make them up either in the uk or usa. If I go to usa and make them up on an F1 visa its even better news for me as once I have made the hours up and get my visa screen and nclex under my belt I can find an employer and start work so much quicker with this new speedier service!!

should be a good news for everyone waiting for their approval.

big difference from the original processing fee of $195 (I-140),
the fee may not be affordable to many

Usually, the employer is the one shouldering all the expenses. Most employers deduct it from the sign-on bonuses.

However, there are those who wants the applicant (this is via AOS) to shoulder it first and the employer will reimburse it later.

1000 dollars?! holy cow!....and i notice it doesn't mention PP for I-485 Adjustment of Status. (for those intending to go the AOS route, not the CP route.) By the way, does being in the US physically mean you have to go do AOS route? or is CP still an option?
