New here-after passing Florida NCLEX...?

by linip

Hello I am new posting but was reading all the posts some time ago, I am in Peru and just took and passed NCLEX for Florida state as I saw in the Pearson website, But now what should I do ? I think that I can not by myself but the Florida Board must send my passing NCLEX score to ICHP in order to complete Visascreen requirements,
1. Do you know how can I request that?
2. Can I start looking for an employer? if yes, what should I show as passing NCLEX proof?
3. I would like to work in Florida (south) Does anybody knows any facility which is sponsoring? I have 3 years working experience in big hospital ER and ICU here in Peru

Thank you very much for this answers and all other posts you already done which were unvaluable help

It is included with the Visa Screen Certificate application, you never list the state as having given you a license on the application, but the form can be submitted to Florida for verification of having passed the NCLEX exam. You will need to check with them for the exact fee that you will also need to send. Each state is different.

Thank you for your replies,

I have found the Request for validation of registration/license for Visascreen, but is the same I have filled and sent to registry for Visascreen, so I just put my name, address, birthdate and in the upper part where it asks for the registration license number should I leave it blank or write my local license number ? And then send it to Florida Board ?

In the meantime while Florida sends my proof that I have passed NCLEX to ICHP, can I look for employers? but how could I demonstrate them that I have passed NCLEX? what I saw in the Pearson web page (Unofficial) is enough or they just trust my word

Florida Board cannot verify your local license from home, they can only verify that you passed NCLEX for ICHP. So if sending the form to Florida, do not put anything about your Filipino license on it or you could be waiting years and years to get it straightened out.

You do not have a license number assigned, as you do not have a license, they can only verify the exam.

Thank you Suzanne, so I will send the form with my license number in blank

Please what about my other question : In the meantime while Florida sends my proof that I have passed NCLEX to ICHP, can I look for employers? but how could I demonstrate them that I have passed NCLEX? what I saw in the Pearson web page (Unofficial) is enough or they just trust my word

Because an issue about that is that in the hospital recruiting requirements says Current active Florida License (which I am not getting until I arrive to the US), Despite of that should I send them my CV and ask for sponsorship?

No foreign nurse has an active Florida license until they arrive in the US, the employer is aware of that. If you have taken the NCLEX-RN for Florida, it means that al of your credentials have been accpeted for licensure, except submitting the SSN# whne you arrive.

This is well known.. You can go ahead and apply for a job.
