Hello to you all. I’m so glad I find this forum, thanks Suzanne.
I have so many questions without answers…

First I have my application for Maryland BON with CGFNS report and English test done.
What should I do next?
I’m here in US , my visa will expire in October this year, what suggestions do you have about that , if I’ll pass the NCLEX will that be enough?
Do I need the visa screen?
I saw that Suzanne said about a center in Spain ?
That should be enough for now ) .
Thank you in advance .

Mary

No centers in Spain.............Saipan is one but that is off of the coast of Guam. Hong Kong, Seoul, South Korea, and London, England are the newest.

If you are applying for the green card, then yes you will need a Visa Screen Certificate. You can download the application from the CGFNS website. They will be able to use your documents that you submitted for the CES.
I would submit the application now and not wait until you have passed the NCLEX exam............Have you already completed TSE?

I took the ILA /OPI test for Maryland .It is only accepted in Maryland. They accept TSE or ILA/OPI for English test.
Today I applied for NCLEX. So now I’m nervous because of the test.
I tray to study every day, I have Saunders and Lippincot’s review, also a Kaplan CD. What is your opinion about this? Should I do something else?

About the visa staff, can you tell me if you know of course, after I’ll pass the NCLEX what will happen?
Do I need an agency to find a job or change the status or I can apply at the hospitals by my self?

Just with visa screen is possible to apply for green card in this context of course?

Thank you very much for your time , answering this questions I rely appreciate your help!!

If you need a Visa Screen Certificate because you are going to be applying for the green card in your name only TOEFL, TSE, and TWE or the IELTS series is accepted. You will need to take one of the others to meet the requirement. Federal requirements are different from state requirements at times. Many states actually do not have a language requirement, but the US Government does........

Visa Screen Certificate requires that you pass the acceptable English exams, as well as NCLEX or CGFNS exam..........You need this to apply for a green card, but you do not do the applying, the hospital or agency that hires you will submit a petition for you..........

What type of visa are you currently on? Do you plan on staying in Maryland to work?

I’m on my second year (the last one) of J1 visa.
Probably I’ll stay in Maryland or Virginia , my fiancée is here .(he has a green card ).

So your suggestion is that I should apply for visa screen?
I know about TOEFL and I was about to take the test but I found out that I don’t need it for the board so I just forget about that and concentrate on NCLEX. I also took TSE but I got 45 and meanwhile I pass the ILA/OPI.(this one was faster) .

I’ll think about this tomorrow.

Thanks for advice!!!
