NCLEX passer

Hi everybody. I am new here. It is very interesting website. I hope you will help me with advice. My problem is very common. I have passed NCLEX for CA. I have got Visa Screen Certificate. I live in Armenia, that is why it is very difficult to find a sponsor in USA. My exam will be expired in May 2010.
Please, can anybody say if I find sponsor and start my I-140 may I simultaniously start endorsement to Vermont? It will be expensive, but I dont wont to take NCLEX again.
who can explain me is it possible to have got lisences in deifferent states?
Thanks

First off congratulations on passing your exam. It's a big accomplishment. What I suggest you doing is reading up on the CA BRN & Vermont BRN.

http://www.vtprofessionals.org/opr1/nurses/

http://www.rn.ca.gov/

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/usc...0048f3d6a1RCRD

Sorry I don't know anybody who's sponsoring at this time. Things are pretty tight here in the USA and nurses who were educated here are having a hard time finding work. I suggest you do your homework and read up on the above links and then do a search on this forum regarding California and Vermont, there's a ton of helpful information. Good Luck

Who have got such kind experience?

There is nothing stopping you from applying to another state, the requirements is meeting VSC for immigration and that just requires a pass in NCLEX or CGFNS exam

Remember you can not endorse as you have no license to endorse

Hi. What do you think when I start endorsement to Vermont and ask Board of CA to send letter about my NCLEX exam result to Vermont board, can they (Board of CA) close my file before expiration date?
I would like to know everything, becouse it was so difficult to take exam, I am afraid to do anything wrong.
Do you know where I can read regulations about it.
Thanks in advance

You can not endorse as you have no license to endorse.Ca will not destroy your file before the 3 years or if you have asked for an extension the extension expires. There are no regulations for what you are thinking about. Many people have done this with no problems. You have to meet the BON requirements for foreign trained nurse and request Ca forward results for a small fee

Thanks.
I see you have got a large work experience. What do you think will it be more easy to find a sponsor in Vermont than in CA?

You really need to decide where you want to live and then apply to employers in that state. Be aware with retrogression things may change even with employer plus may find it hard at the moment to find a employer willing to petition for GC

Vermont will be very difficult, and I doubt that any hospital right now will sponsor for a GC anyway, because they won't have an idea when you'll be able to come, if at all.

If things should start move again, it might look different, but for now....kinda futile.

If you don't mind where you gonna live, look for states/areas that have traditionally recruitment problems, certain areas in Texas for instance, mid west, Oklahoma and so on, rural areas.

If you have lots of experience in a specialized area you might qualify for H1B, don't know.
So you could look into that one as well, but be aware once your contract/or visa is up, you will need to leave again.

Most hospitals are cutting hours for nurses and other staff. I don't see how they will sponsor any foreigners when they can (according to them) barely pay their own staff. It doesn't make any sense to me to sponsor someone when you can barely pay your bills and your CEO can still make his/her 3 million dollar bonus.

I encourage you to either work in your own country or another country while you're waiting. If you still want to come to the US, then keep your file alive and active as much as possible, while doing Plan B. The worst thing you can do for yourself is be an unemployed nurse. Try to get the paid experience that you will need while you're waiting. Good Luck
