NCLEX application

by casa402

Hi and Good Day to all of you. I am from the philippines. i am trying to apply for Examination and Licensure in Illinois. I have already submitted my application documents to CTS (continental testing service). They have mailed me and indicated that i lack CGFNS original document. I have already taken and passed the CGFNS exam and i also have the CG certificate.if i have the right understanding, basing on their instructions..i dont need to have a CES report if ever i have already passed the CG exam, CGFNS will be able to process my report without extra charge..also they said that they will be downloading the report if it becomes available in CGFNS site. What am i suppose to do? do i need to contact CGCNS and avail of their service of forwarding document which costs 75$..please help me..thak you!!

IL needs CES.. not the cgfns exam..

you need to apply for CES.

last year ( i think it was sept if im not mistaken), they do accept CGFNS certificate because they were late to announce the new requirement (CES).

apply for CES. and they will download the result/report at the cgfns website if it becomes available.

* when did you had your CGFNS exam ?...

The CES is a credentials evaluation, essentially a review of your nursing curriculum.

This is not the same as being permitted to take the CGFNS exam and pass it. Two very different things.

CGFNS exam, to sit for it, does not even require a full set of transcripts to be sumbitted, just documentation onthat one form to be sent to CGFNS.

You always need the CES when it is asked for, unless the state actually posts something that the CG Certificate will meet the requirement, and for most, it does not.

Illinois is also very strict about requiring the TOEFL exam and not accepting the IELTS series. Each state is free to set their own requirements.

You never submit originals. You have CGFNS submit veriifcation.
Per their website, you are required to have the CES, and that is complete different from the CGFNS Certificate. Last year the CG Certificate was accepted, but it no longer is.

And what is you send in the original, and it gets lost in the mail, what are you going to do?

Your choice, but again, Illinois also does not require the CGFNS Certificate, they need the CES, as well as proof of passing the TOEFL exam. They can get verification from CGFNS, you can have that sent. But do not send your Certificate.

Same way that you woukd never send your passport to them. Always use a notorized copy. And never, ever give thre originals to an agency, for any reasone whatsoever, and the same goes with your passport as well. You stay in possession of them at all times.
