Re: Nclex
First off, take the time to do some reading on this forum, in particular the stickies at the top, with most attention to the Primer.
There is no way that you apply directly for the NCLEX exam, you must have permission from a state Board of Nursing to do so. When you are given that permission it means that you meet all of the requirements for licensure there, except for the exam.
Florida requires that you obtain the CES from CGFNS, you can find out about it at
www.cgfns.org and also the Visa Screen Certificate that you will need to obtain once you sit for and pass the NCLEX-RN exam.
Specifics as to the application for actual licensure can be found on the website for FL BON, but recommend that you do not start that until you get thru the CES and know for sure that your training will be accepted in the US.
Please read the other threads on this very same topic, we have a search engine here just like the big guys, and it will take you to more information that you need to have.
You are looking at two years at the minimum when there are visas, there have not been any in almost a year, so expect it to take longer. There are those from the UK that post here that have been waiting three years or longer, so it is not something instant by any means.
