Hi there,i'm really curious and a little worried at the moment. After reading some threads,i am getting the feeling that lpn's are not being employed much in the US,especially foreign ones.I am a malaysian but a permanent resident in singapore.I have been an male Enrolled nurse or lpn equivalent for 5 years now in a general medicine and cardio ward.I work in Tan tock seng hospital, where the SARS outbreak was first discovered and contained.I am very keen to go to the states to work as a nurse along with my RN wife. She is a philipino, holds a BSN and RN so immigration for her shouldnt be a problem. So my question is even if i were to take up ielts and lpn nclex, there's very little chance for me to be employed in the states, let alone given the green card? Please advise, thanks a million.
