I have 4 yrs as full scope LPN. Most hours worked in LTC and the other hours were casual on renal/transplant unit. I'm interested in taking the dialysis certificate. I didn't realize how expensive and how extensive this course was!
Anyhow, any of you out there in the lower mainland working as an lpn in dialysis could you give me an idea of what you do. And, do you get paid more? I currently make 22.00/hr in LTC. Originally, I thought I could work in dialysis pt or casual as I really enjoy LTC, but, if the course is this extensive, than it would be silly working only casual after all that. Will it be worth it??
Thanks for all your input:spin:
