I took the paper-based. I figured I was so used to taking paper exams anyway. I didnt want to experiment and steer away from my comfort zone. I had very nice results.

How it is taken really does not matter, results will be the same with either. Just the passing scores are in a different format.

Speaking section is still the same.

Be aware that most from your country find the IELTS easier to pass with the speaking section.

Question to ask first is if do you really need to take the TOEFL at all ??

Most States do not require the proof of passing an English Proficiency exam if applying for licensure to them and majority also waives it if you explain that your nursing education were conducted using English as the medium of instructions and books used were all in English.

You will still have to take an English Proficiency exam for the Visa Screening for immigration purposes but the Visa Screen Certification process lets you choose whether to take TOEFL or IELTS and many like taking the IELTS than any of the TOEFL series.

Moving this thread to the Int'l forum where it is more appropriate. Thanks.
