I have moved this thread to the International Forum where you will get more responses.

NCLEX is only an exam, it is not a license. If you were issued a license by a state, then it will have an expiration date and that is what you have. You will need to renew your license in order to keep it active. Just follow the instructions for renewal given to you by the state.

If you have already taken and passed the NCLEX exam, then you do not need to worry about the CGFNS exam any longer. This is currently only required for about four states; things have changed since you have tested.

Just make sure that you keep your license current.

If she hasn't taken NCLEX then there is no NCLEX expiration to think of. Where is she now, how will she be moving to the US? I would recommend either way she studying, applies to a state and sit NCLEX as eventually she will be required to do it as it is a requirements of all states if wanting to work as a RN

Did she write the English exams and has a CG Certificate, or just pass the CGFNS exam? The exam is only good for two years if she does not have the Certificate.

But again, it does not matter if she has taken the CGFNS exam or not; there are only four states now that still require that exam. And we have not seen any employer willing to petition now without having the NCLEX exam passed first.

Are you actually in the process of being petitioned for the US? If nothing has been started, please be aware that you are looking at probably seven years for a chance at a green card. It is no longer guaranteed. If she wishes to work in the US, then she is going to need to pass the NCLEX exam, no license without it.

CGFNS Certificates expire every 5 years. Make sure to apply early for the renewal so you don't get hung up on the time frame. CGFNS does not issue a license, it issues a visa screen certificate. Licenses depend on each State that you hold in but most are two years long.

Sorry, but the poster above you has gotten you confused. You are speaking of two different things.

The CGFNS Certificate is what you get when you pass the CGFNS exam. It is not the Visa Screen Certificate that requires that one also passes the full set of English exams and then that is valid for five years and needs to be renewed.

You mentioned the Certificate, this is completely different from the VSC. And especially since you stated in an earlier post in this thread concerning your wife that has taken the CGFNS exam but has not written the NCLEX exam.

now im confused. ok lets start from the beginning. In order that the CGFNS certificate to be valid for 5 years it will also require a ENGLISH exams to have its validity and renewal?? if no english exams it will not be renew??

another question.. The Nclex exams is a one time exams, if you passed that one you only need to renew your license before the expiration date in order to continue its validity?? or if you dont have the ENGLISH EXAM you cannot renew it??
