License application for virginia

hi...anyone here who took the nclex for virginia? pls. enlighten me regarding the application..thnx..thnx..

Moved to the International forum as per the red banner.

I have also changed titled as not applying for NCLEX but license to be a RN in the US, NCLEX is just a part of that application.

Starting point is the state board of nursing and links cane be found at the bottom of the page. You will need to meet requirements for foreign trained nurse

hi im from virginia..im a permanent resident here..i finished my BSN in the philippines and im still trying to apply for the state board...ummm where are you from?if you finished your BSN in a foreign country visit this site http://www.dhp.virginia.gov/nursing/...g_forms.htm#RN

According to the VA Web site:

2 COMMISSION ON GRADUATES OF FOREIGN NURSING SCHOOLS QUALIFYING
EXAMINATION - CGFNS

It is required that evidence of passing on the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools Qualifying Exam. The Certification Program is comprised of a three-part program that includes a credentials review, a one-day test of nursing knowledge (CGFNS Qualifying Exam), and the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

are you from VA?is it ok if i didnt take NLE in my country?

Yes,you need to take the NLE,since you finished school overseas.You need a valid/current license to sit for the CGFNS qualifying exam.

As said by previous poster to sit CGFNS exam (which is required by state) you have to have a local exam and pass NLE
