by Scalene

Hello, everyone, im new in this forum, i have been hearing about this thing about retrogression. This is the case, i had a priority date whis is oct 9,2003, i took nclex and passed nclex already, ICHP has been approved, NVC has approved my green card petition, My papers have reached US embassy in London, am I still affected by retrogression thing, and if you are looking how the May Visa Bulletin has moved, can someone give me a rough estimate when i am gonna be called for Interview. I assume schedule of inteviews are affected by these Retrogression as well. Please enlighten me, and thanks in advance

If you filed back then and you have completed your packets on time, you shouldn't have much longer. They are now starting to pick up with files that they had, not starting any new ones yet. But no one can give you an exact date right now.

You can try looking at www.visapro.com and insert your number and see what it says.

Im just quite confused, with the priority dates in the may visa bulletin they are just processing June 02, so if we are to compare the way the process visa that is from april to may visa bulletin, it will take me about 6-8mnths, although i know Visa bulletin results might change. You just say "you(I) shouldn`t have much longer", does this means that im not affected by the retrogression?? Or are you just saying that im near the line cause my priority date is in Oct,2003. Thanks for the reply!

Whether you are effected by retrogression would depend on where you were born. As far as I know ( correct me if I am wrong), only India, China and the Philippines fall into the retrogression catergories. All other countries are current. Does that clarify things?

If you are from one of the PIC countries, then you are still waiting..........but they are beginning to clear up some applications that have been there. You are still goin gto have a wait, because there are actually others in line before you. You will get processed before anyone applying after January, 2005 but no one can give you an exact date....even the Embasy can't at this point. What did your number say when you looked it up as I suggested, if you did?
