What I'm asking is......if someone has a completed file and a PD of March 8th 2006, would the Consulate give them an opportunity of a visa if there are others with earlier PD's but incomplete files?

Just trying to look at the bigger picture, and thinking it would be a shame if visa numbers are available but not used because the Consulate would not look at files beyond March 1st.
i was current in April buletin and had case completed within 8 days and we are now waiting for our interview date we have PD Jun 05. I would imagine they would want to clear the likes of me before starting on others with later PDs. This is what they said they would do and they predicted when they started moving dates forward that there would come a time when they would slow down or indeed stop the forward movement to give them a chance to clear already completed and old PDs. I hope this is the case and that we will get interview before th visas become un-available again

Good luck topscot, hope you get your interview soon. Did NVC send your file to the London embassy?

Good day to everyone, i have a PD of August 26, 2005, NVC is asking for an updated DS230 and all the requirements that goes with it. But I will send it next week because I am still waiting for my husband's ds230 which I sent to him in the ship ( he is a seaman ). There are still a lot of PD's of 2005 which are still on the process of completing their papers inorder to send to NVC. I just pray that we will not run out of visas when we will have our interview.
Godspeed & Godbless us all

Was your husband actually on your original DS-230? If not, then he will not be getting a visa now.

Having a current PD date alone does not guarantee a visa this time thru, not sure if you have had approval for the two of you already in the past. The reason that the PD dates have moved forward is because of incomplete files and the US government is trying to clear out as many as they can.

Then you both should be just fine. Every so often lately, we get a poster that got married since their original petition was submitted and the spouse does not have approval on the DS-230.

Best of luck to you and keep us posted.

Hi Suzanne, my PD is 28 april 2006. During last 10-12 months my case remained untouched in the NVC. But recently the announcement by automated voice response of the NVC was changed. It seems like the case started to be reviewed. The last movement was the request of NVC to update DS-230 forms (initial forms as well as visa fee were sent last august). How would you interpret this situation? According to your experience, is there any chance for soon interview appointment?
Thank you
