Inquiry about Agency Or Not, Endorsement

Dear Suzanne,

I recently pass my FL Nclex, am done with my IELTS too and filed for my Visa Screen- the status is awaiting NCLEX which i fwd alread. Im about to look for an agency or employer to work for. By the way am a Filipino new grad RN so i dont have that much experience.

I read in past few posts what to look for in a contract etc. Can you recommend a lawyer- pls email me. Second, am thinking of seeking endorsement in CA. Is that possible even if i dont have my SSN yet nor my hard license. The reason is my sister is going to transfer to CA and it would be cheaper for new grad RN to live with someone who has been here for a long time. Can i seek endorsement to CA and have all my VISASCREEN process once i get an employer or do i have to get an SSS and hard license where i initially registered (FL). My sister told me i need to get employer here in FL to get sss filed on my behalf and wait for my contract to expire before i can move to CA- is this true?

IF that wont be possible, im in the FL area im close to Sarasota and Punta Gorda Area, would you recommend a hospital that petitions intl nurses. I saw an agency and read their contract and not attractive. Im thinking i went all the way here and paid for everything on my behalf- i want to do things fair. Im just not confident with agency. Am also looking for Hospital that have good orientation for new grad RN, any recommendation pls. Are you recommending that if i do a hospital to sponsor me , it will be better if i get my own lawyer etc so that in the event that i backed out or i need to transfer state i can do so easily.

Thanks waiting for your advice.

I forgot to mention, i initially registered for NEW YORK (as i read from the forum), and FL but FL responded earlier so i tried my luck here. Can i still use my New York application? Or can i even refund it? I filed my application last December.

thanks

****cgfns does not accept the nclex results sent by the applicant. you have to send a license validation form to fl bon and it will be forwarded by the board to cgfns.

*****you can get an employer in ca even if you don't have a ca license, and when your immigartion document is under process(or completed) and you are in the usa, then you can apply for a ssn and get your license then endorse to ca. ca doesn't either provide you license without ssn.

*****in my opinion you can do the visa screen now..and endorse to ca later. ca gives you a temporary license on the same day (provided you have a ssn)

*****about the ny application, speak to a representative yourself.

****about employer, write e-mail (with your resume attached)directly to nurse recruiters of the hospitals in and around the area you plan to work.

good luck !!!!:balloons:

hi starbin thanks for the quick reply. am actually in fl just took the exam last week got the results 2 days ago and requested bon to forward to cgfns. so i can seek job in ca and endorse whatever papers i have without waiting for my hard license from florida. i just know they wont give me one until i have an sss but since am not planning to work here anyway, might as well transfer to ca. did i get you right?
