+-- New Here! Just a quick Question --+

Hello everyone, heard lots of great things about this board and would like
to seek some comments regarding my papers.

I just got my I-140 case approval last May 5, 2006. What is the next step and how long do I have to wait?

Anyone can refer some related threads previously posted that could very well answer my inquiries. Also, I would invite those who have undergone such process for their expert advise.

In case I failed to include other infos which may serve vital, feel free to post them here.

I would like to express my thanks to everyone in advance.

More power and I look forward to more posts!

Next step is for the visa bill to be paid. Then and only then will immigration send packet #3 to you.

You essentially have just completed the first step, you have months to go.

Thanks for the reply Suzanne4, just the perfect person to hear the good news. Hope I won't wait much longer.

Btw, Im planning to take the NCLEX within the year if possible, or early 2007. Im not worried about taking the exam in HK or once i arrive in the US. I still have a plenty of time to go over things and decide which path is best for me. My employer is located in California but I'm considering applying NY for my initial licensure which you have recommended to several others before. However, my future concern though is the length of time it will take to endorse my license to CA. Any rough estimate? Also, will my employer allow me to work despite not yet having a CA license?

Can you direct me to some of your previous posts/articles/websites regarding this matter? Im sure you have answered similar inquiries many times already so I'm just asking this little favor from you or from anyone else who can be of assistance.

If there is any detail I failed to mention, feel free to msg me or post them here.

Thanks in advance to all!

CA can issue a license in a day, that is the least of your worries and concerns. And no, you cannot work without a CA license, but you can get that faster than you will get your SSN#.

Please do a search on this forum, or just read back thru some posts. There are also stickies at the top of this forum with much information. I suggest that you start there.

Hello everyone,
I want to express of what I felt with my agencY. I applied them Nov 2004.They applied my 1-140 Dec 23,2004 and was approved Aug 16 2005. My visa fee bill arrived nov 2005. My dependents have already been paid last Nov 2005. My prob is, they did not pay my NVC for the reason that they will follow agency policy but they did not explained what policy is that. I did not mind calling them bec my friends in this agency keep on calling them and no developments made. They email us that they are going to visit here in the Phil this july to meet us and have some seminars and interviews. They told us to bring nurses. How can we bring nurses to them? even our papaers is not working for a long time. They always promised us to pay the NVC after a couple of weeks since APRIL and now it's June nothing happens yet. What will I do? If I quit I have to go back from the start. I already passed cgfns, ielts and already have my visa screen cert.
