thanks MPS.....yes, Texas service center is processing my papers......
    Hi jon,
Glad to know that ur I-140 is already approved. I am sure ur I-485 will approve very soon. Texas is processing the applications very fast. Even if it doesn't approve..ur application will not be affected by retrogresion. My lawyer told me that...all applicants, who have cuncurrent filing of I-140 and I-485 before the retrogression is in effect, will be assigned visa number.

BTW did uscis require the copy of visa screen / orginal certificate itself for i485 approval?

How were you able to get to choose TSC? I thought all I-140 is sent to NSC. Do they randomly pick and send other I-140 to TSC?

yup....it is required prior to adjudication. more often, the service center would send you a notice for you to submit your Visa Screen certificate or sometimes they would just deny the I-485 petition.....

All concurrent filings of AOS are required to be sent to Nebraska Service Center but could also be re-send by nebraska to texas depending on the former's capacity to process the immigrant visa applications.....

all non-immigrant visa applications on the other hand, goes to california and vermont service centers.....

I was thinking that all applicants' I-140 from the West Coast are being sent by NSC to TSC. Is it this so or it is random?

All I-140 petitions regardless of state would have to be sent to NSC then NSC may choose to transfer it to TSC or do it themselves depending on their workload. So, it is only NSC and TSC that adjucates the I-140 petitions as what jonRNMD said while the non-immigrant petitions are adjucated by CSC or VSC.

It is now bi-specialization, unlike before where it is based on geography.
