How to be a competitive candidate for RN school.(Montreal)

  1. Hello Everyone,

I am a pre-nursing student in Mtl Quebec and I am just wondering what I can do to improve my chances of being accepted into the RN program (3 year career program @ the CEGEP level)

I want to be a competitive candidate.

So far I have completed Physical Science,Biology & am now working on CHEM
I have applied to every CEGEP and fingers are crossed for Fall 2012 acceptance
Just incase...I would love to have some advice on how I can really stand out when my application is in the hands of asmissions.

    Thanks a million !!

    Hi!

This is really late, but for anyone who still needs answer to those questions the minimum grades are usually around 75% in all the prerequisites (chem and math), but to be safe you should aim for low to mid 80s. To be a competitive it all boils down to your letter of intent. You really need to have done some volunteering, because there is a really high drop-out rate in nursing so they need to see you know what you are getting yourself into and you are sure about your choice.
