Hi and welcome to the site

Getting approval for I140 takes anything from 6 months depending on which service center it has gone to. One approved you then are affected by retrogression and have a long wait in front of you, currently looking at a couple of years. Much has been written on retrogression so would suggest a search and checking the threads out. Would also considering getting yur NCLEX sorted whilst you are waiting as it is exam you will need to take at some stage and we do not recommend California for initial licensure as they will not issue a license without SSN and you can not get that until in the US on a valid work visa, again much has been written on that
