How to find hospitals that can sponsor H-1B, urgent, please Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone:
I am a new graduate and just passed my NCLEX in NY state. I am a foreign nurse and used up my OPT.
I am trying to find hospitals that can sponsor me for H-1B visa. I have been calling different hospitals for half a month and have not found one willing to sponsor for H-1B visa.
Does anyone know any hospital/nursing home/home health care agency that is willing to sponsor H-1B visa?
Your information is crucial for me and thank you very very much for your good intention to help.

First of all, you need to calm down!!!!!!!!!!!
Your situation is no more urgent than others. There are a lot of people in the same boat.

If you had been reading the forums, you would already know that as a new nurse you are not eligible for an H1b visa. That visa is only for advanced nurses, not new nurses, so you will not qualify for it.

And with the increase in unemployment in US nurses, there are very few places willing to sponsor H1b visas. No need to hire foreign nurses when American nurses are unemployed, right??

So, relax. No need to get all stressed out over a visa you don't qualify for anyway..

Ditto what Nurse!Nurse! said -- new grads don't qualify for H1B, and with unemployment so bad that experienced US RNs can't find jobs, hard to make a case for sponsoring foreign nurses. The idea of the student visa is that you're supposed to return to your home country when you finish your studies -- that may be your best option at this point.

You should better look for a job in your home country and prepare for going back.

I mean you knew that your visa would not be good forever, right? And the economic situation plus backlog of visas is not exactly sth new.

Just like to know what status you are in the US with now if your OPT is used up? You will find it hard to find a employer for H1b as you are not experienced plus many US nurses are struggling to find work. This year is the first time in over a decade that I have seen H1b visas still available but it still takes time going through the process.

If the person continues with his or her studies, can they stay under the same student visa or must they return and reapply?

What I'd like to know is how is it that people can think that they qualify for a H1b visa? What information are they being told that will make them think they can apply and get it? If people keep abusing these visas, they will soon see them vanish.

A lot will depend on what their I20 states and whether still valid but for it to be valid full time education needs to be maintained

this is what I have found on the US immigration website

F-1 academic students on post-completion OPT maintain valid F-1 status until the expiration of their OPT. Once that OPT has ended, they are authorized to remain in the United States for up to 60 days to prepare for departure.

I'd call the Joint Commission and verify that they're accrediting this agency. Sometimes places advertise accredidation and and sponsorship and it turns out that they're not. Just make sure, I thought Joint Commission only accredited hospitals. But I can be wrong. Maybe someone who knows more can explain.
