The best way for you is to visit any agency that hire nurses for singapore for they can explain you better. As far as i know you need to be hired by a hospital to sponsor you for an RN exam. Once you passed the exam as well as the interview thats the time they will start the processing and would take for atleast 3 months from that day..

Thread moved to the International Forum, since it is the same for any foreign nurse to work in Singapore, the rules are the same and not specific to those from the Philippines.

Please be aware that I have not seen any nurses from your country actually working in the role of the RN in Singapore, but in the role of the nursing asst. That is what I have seen on many trips there as well as from those that have posted here and are not trying to go to the US from your country and are currently in Singapore working. Not one of them in the role of the RN.

There are also language exams that need to be passed in most cases.

Sorry, but still sticking by what I have stated. Have not seen one RN from the Philippines actually working in Singapore in the role of the RN and with an actual RN license from there and that is my point.

Most are working as nursing assts, and not nurses. And it does not count as work experience as an RN when they are applying for jobs overseas again.

Check out the requirements for licensure in Singapore and not what an agency is telling you.
Singapore is very strict on their licensing, just like every other country in SE Asia. Licenses are only given out for the RN when a strict series of events are passed. All from your country that work in other countries in SE Asia work there as nursing assts or care-givers, not as licensed RNs.

hi want to share something on here..I was hired from philippines to worked in Singapore as a staff nurse or registered nurse thru an agency which i was given a chance to take their board of nursing based on your number of years experience.yes, they do hired staff nurses as long as you have 3yrs hospital experience in the philippines and pass their board exams.

Again, you must pass their local board and most that wish to go there do not have the three years of experience working and they do not count time as a volunteer nurse as work experience.

And are you actually working there now? Still have not seen one person that posts here that has gone there and has gotten the license to practice there as an RN. Job offers only exist if you pass the actual licensing exam, and again, still have not seen anyone do that here. Adn a job offer is still not a license. Same way that you can work in Canada and the US, but you need to pass the exam for there and it is always much harder as a foreign trained nurse, no matter what the agency tells you.

If you change my opinion on this, then great. But still have not seen one RN from the Philippines with an actual RN license in hand from Singapore.

Then that was a few years ago when you went thru the procedure as there are no longer visas available to work in the UK. Things change with the times, and have not seen anyone getting the RN license now in Singapore from your country.
