If you haven't gotten eligibility from the BON in Guam then you cannot take the NCLEX exam to obtain licensure.

Sounds like you got started by following directions on some other US-based websites where they tell you to register your ATT first. That may be all fine and dandy in the USA but from the Philippines you have a whole different journey to go in order to obtain licensure.

There are afew professional agencies that can help you sift through all the confusion but just be careful with them. I'd stick with US-based or American founded organizations to make sure they are following the right procedures.

You will need to find a employer in Guam and they will help you get a visa and the visa is different to the one for the USA. Also you can not endorse to Guam from California as Ca will not give a license without a SSN so will have to meet Guam requirements and they do not have a website so everything is done by hand

As Silverdragon said you have to get an employer to help you with that Visa first. While Guam is a territory of the USA it is not a state so there are different regulations and such there. Endorsement of the license itself is not possible at this stage because you won't have it. However I think you can still endorse the NCLEX pass/fail to Guam but I'm not sure how thier BON would accept it.

This is one of the major reasons why people need to seriously consider the state/territory of application before making a move.

This whole idea of endorsement and a false notion of "reciprocity" has messed up far too many nurses.

Don't start out thinking about moving your license, start out planning where you want to practice medicine and live.

Guam has the same immigration rules as the rest of the US; they are also under the retrogression at this time. Sure, an employer can petition for you now, but chances of finding one when you are looking at a wait of more than 7 years is going to be quite tough at this time. Jobs need to go to the Americans first, and then if and only then that they cannot fill the job, will they be able to offer it to someone else.

It is also not sponsorship, but rather petitioning that you are looking for; this is what it is called when one is wishing to get the green card.

US territories are also affected by the downturn in the economy at this time.

Would recommend that you take the time to do some reading on this site about what is actually happening at this time with the retrogression. I would actually recommend that you look at other countries to gain experience in since the US is going to be quite impossible for a long period of time.

You will need to apply to Guam nursing body and they will assess your application and see if you are eligible to sit NCLEX. Are you planning on working in Guam as you may have problems getting work visa?
