How to apply for registration to the NMC?

I am sorry for the noob question :o but please can someone with a kind heart help me out regarding the steps in application for registration to the UK NMC? :)I am from a non-EU country, and I believe the process is a bit more complex.

I just got my IELTS TRF, and I passed the required bandscore.

I am particularly confused :uhoh3: when to pay and how much to pay... I understand there are two application packs. And I still haven't figured out how to get the first one (See how much I need help, haha):yeah:. And where do we get the PRF (Personal Reference Number) or PIN from?:confused:

PLEASE! HELP ME OUT!

Plenty of threads discussing NMC so would suggest a search for them plus start at the NMC website Overseas trained section http://www.nmc-uk.org/Registration/Joining-the-register/Trained-outside-the-EU--EEA/

Thanks again Silverdragon! I´ve read through the website and the PDFs I downloaded, but I still cannot find the info that I need. Would you happen to know where do I get the Personal Reference Number? Do I have to pay something before they give me that or what?

I image you will not get ref number until application is submitted

I have just received my initial application pack from NMC. They never confirmed that they received my request, but they actually did, as apparent to them sending me the initial application pack. I have already sent the form back to the NMC and paid the fee using a credit card. What do I expect from the second pack?

I might also be having a problem because I have learned that the hospital I had my post-registration experience with is registered in a SECONDARY HOSPITAL STATUS. Is experience from a TERTIARY HOSPITAL mandatory? Anyone here registered with the UK NMC with post-registration (PRC) experience from a SECONDARY HOSPITAL?

Visit the page The Nursing and Midwifery Council | Nursing and Midwifery Council

Acquire the details from Trained outside Europe | Nursing and Midwifery Council

Complete the online registration form https://forms.nmc-uk.org/forms/overseasrequest

In 15 working days you will receive your first pack (By post)

In the first pack you will be provided with a Personal Reference Number (PRN)

Complete the first pack

Enclose the notarized copies of the following along with he completed application form

-Passport details page

-Birth certificate

-Registration certificates (KNC/KNMC or where else you have registered )

do the payment (NMC registration Fee-£140 )

and send the online payment receipt along with the first pack to NMC

(Overseas Registrations Dept,23 Portland Place,London,W1B1PZ)(i made it on 18/10/2013 )Wait for another couple of weeks to receive your second pack

(this stage is little complicated as it has to be completed by different persons.)

* Section 9 by your Doctor and send it with the Application form

* 2 employer reference forms completed and send by the Employers

* Registration authority verification is to be completed and send by the Nursing councils(KNC/KNMC)

* Form to Accompany Transcript of Training is to be completed and send from your college

(i sent everything via courier to make the process faster.So it was lil expensive. if you do the extra payment to the councils,college and hospital they'll send it through courier )

In another 90 days you will receive your Decision Letter

(if everything is alright)

does it really takes three months for the decision to arrive?what if there are some questions?how fast the nmc will contact the applicant?is it thru email or letter?thanks

I just want to ask for advice. I have a pending application on nmc and 1 of my reference is delaying the reference form i sent her. Can i change her as my reference so that my applicatiob will have progress. I already completed the online form for nmc and submitted it. Thnk you for your help.

Hello to every body,

Some one can help me please... I am from Italy and did my graduate in Italy on 2004. I am working for 10 years in Neonaral Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

I start to send all document to nmc from dic. 2014 and it's several times that they ask me : Os form to accompany Transcript of training

which i complete by my college on Jenuary 2015 with some problem...and after the second and third NMC request of that form, i send them an e-mail to explain them and post it another time the same document ...but they didn't explain me what they want more and continues to send me the same request..Os form to accompany Transcript of training...

If somebody knows something..please help me ...is 1 year!!!!I am really sad í ½í¸” because i don't know what they want!

I called them too..and in call center the answer you the same thing not more!!!!
