HI B visa

H1B visa is not anymore available. The next availability would be on April 2008 for FY2009.

Even if it is available, nurses seldom apply for it. Reason being that the position must require BSN or other specialties and the applicant must have the degree and the experience.

Some are successful, some are not. It's up to you entirely to decide.

The real difference is that they can't take away your greencard, they can take the H1B visa away and send you back to your home country. It puts too much power in the hands of your employer. Get the greencard.

H1-B visas have not been available for nurses for more than three years. This agency needs to be reported for giving out false information. And the better part is that there is only an open time to submit for the H1-B if it were available, and that is not until October of this year for next April.

I still see attorneys telling nurses that they can petition with this, and they take the nurse's money and it gets denied. The attorney has done their work, they got paid, even with knowing that it was not going to get approved.

There are no temporary work visas available for you, only the green card. And you are going to see agencies coming up with more garbage like this because of the retrogression, things are getting tight for them, but they are not being honest with you at all.

H1-B is not available for nurses, maybe the agency wants to say H1C visa.

Unfortunately, we still see agencies advertise that they can place someone with the H1-B visa. That only shows me that they have no idea of anything with nurses. And even see attorneys promising it as well, knowing that the petition will automatically get denied, but they still charge the client and expect payment.
