help on work permit

Did you mean to say you passed NCLEX-RN? Registered nurses here in the USA have licenses, not certificates. did you came here as an immigrant? or a tourist? if you do have SSN, and legally able to work here, then you don't need an agency. the very first paperwork an employer will ask from you is your alien registration receipt, your social security number,your BLS card, RN license on the state you are applying for work, if you have none of the first 3, then you need to go back and apply just like everybody else.. passing the nclexrn alone doesn't give you the right to work in this country.

International student means that she is under the F-1 status, or the H-4 and will need to be petitioned for the green card. Not an immigrant visa, and not one that will permit her to work.

When did you have your last class? When did you graduate from your program? Are you on the F-1 visa? Did you apply for the OPT before you graduated?

If you are not on the OPT, then you will not be able to remain in the US. Your F-1 visa expires 60 days after your last class. And the entire world is currently under a retrogression as far as getting petitioned as a nurse in the US at this time. There is no work permit available for you to begin work at this time. Since there are no visas currently available, not sure what you can do. The only option that you do have is to continue with your schooling, otherwise you will not be able to remain in the US at all legally.

Not sure why you did not get any of this information from your international advisor at your school. They never discussed any of this and what the requirements are for you to remain in the US?
The US has been under a retrogression since last October 31. Petitions were accepted for only a short time a couple of weeks ago, but that is no longer available to you at this time.
