There is a thread at the top of the Canadian forum that gives links to the provinces in Canada and their contact numbers for licensure.

The exam there is only given three times per year, not like the NCLEX in the US.

Suggest that you contact the province of Ontario for their requirements.

You know that here in the Philippines, we have 10 years in grade school and 4 years high school and 4 years in college (nursing).

Please correct me if I'm wrong on this. In canada, they have 12 years grade school, 4 years high school and college depends on the school.

See the difference? We lack 2 years here. The College especially in Ontario is very strict regarding this. So sometimes, depends on the applicants credentials, they require you to undergo a bridging program before you'll be allowed to take CRNE. hope this helps...

You are muddying the waters.

Kindergarten through Grade 12 takes 13 years. So high school cover five of those years. School ends sometime between the 17th and 18th birthday depending on when during the year you are born.

Your one year program in the Philippines is not acceptd in Ontario. They require a two year program for their requirements for licensure. They do not accept a one year program from anywhere, even from other provinces in Canada.

There will no no way that you are going to be able to write that exam with the training that you have. The exam is the final step in the licensing process, and your training must meet their educational requirements.

Next question? Are you covered under your parents visa, or are you expecting to apply once you get your license? Please be aware that there are no visas available for you with this training, it is only good in some provinces if you already have a landed immigrant visa, and not sure if you have that or not.

Thread moved to the International Forum since we now ask that anything having to do with immigration/licensure is placed there.

This thread was started before the new rules went into place here.
