Help re: PD current but documents not updated!

Hello everyone,

Please help me and give me advice on my problem. Based on the May visa bulletin, my PD just became current but I have a big problem.

Last year, my atty., asked me to send new set of documents because NVC asked him to reconstitute the documents and since I am getting married I need to send him a new set of DS230 form as well.

Because of tragic circumstances, my marriage was moved to early of this year and I just got my marriage certificate. I am just about to send the documents to my atty., when I found out about the May visa bulletin.

What will happen to my petition since I was not able to submit my DS230 documents? Would I be bypassed and need to wait in line again? Since as far as I know my file might not yet brought to the embassy because of the reconstitution of documents?

If I might be scheduled for an interview, will my wife get left behind?

Please miss Suzanne, help me.....

I really need info on this.....

Hi tiurichard. how did you know that your PD is current based on the May VB. As of this writing, the May VB is not yet released... what's your PD?

Unless your file is complete and has approval on all of it at this time, it is going to be hard for you to get things done. Have you actually had approval on the original DS-230? Be aware that if you are adding your wife now, then you are going to be held up as she is going to need to get approval concerning her. The US government will not just issue a visa to her without thoroughly checking her out as well.

What have you had approval on already? And when is your PD date?
Remember that you need a current and completed file to be considered for a visa now, not just a current PD date.

Since your case is being handled by a lawyer, it is best that you consult this with your lawyer. That is what they are being paid for.

All discussions discussed in our forums are suggestions, opinions and/or personal advice only and are not legal advice. For a more in-dept assessment, best you consult with your lawyer. Thank you for understanding and hope that it didn't sound harsh. If it does, I apologize this early - it's not meant to be so. We would not want a lawyer come here and rebuke a layman on opinions expressed in the forums and whilst being asked to give an advice on it.
