Help with endorsement of license

by mardibc

I'm Canadian and will be writing my NCLEX next week. I want to work in NC. I received my ATT through Minnesota. I've just started applying for work and found out today that Minnesota is not a compact state. I was advised by the NC nursing board to go ahead with the NCLEX and license through Minnesota and then apply for endorsement. I've done a partial application on their website. Does anyone know what will be involved in this process and how long it will take? Will I need to now go through another credentialling process? I have an employer that will give me an offer letter for the TN visa but not until I get my NC license. I have been on a 3 month leave of absence from my job in Canada and need to go back soon, I'm trying to get as much done as I can while I'm here in NC. Thanks for your help.

Default Re: Help with endorsement of license
Once you have taken and passed your NCLEX and you get your license you can endorse to NC but you may have to still meet their requirements for foreign trained nurse. Endorsing generally doesn't take too long.
