i had that same problem when i tried to register to cgfns online. i suggest that you mail your application instead. afterall you will still mail them some documents. use fedex or ems. just include that and they will be the one to correct the error made online. been there done that.....

Do not set up a second account without cancelling the first or you can be held responsible for payment for both.

First, not sure why you are planning to write the CGFNS exam since it is only required for four states out of the entire US and it will not get you a license for the US. You are still going to be required to write the NCLEX exam and pass it before most employers will even consider you for a job.

---------------------
And it is always best to download the forms for CGFNS and then complete them and submit them by mail. One mistake and it can hold you up for months. You can never make any changes to the the on-line form once it is submitted.

If one sets up a new account and does not cancel the old one, it does not automatically link up and one can be held responsible for the fees and charges for both accounts.

One of the reasons why one should not use the on-line program, but send things in to them. When there is a mistake made and you cannot correct it, it can actually hold you up for months until it can get corrected sometimes.

Better not to have that happen in the first place.

i tried setting up another account before...it resulted --- i couldn't open my old account. cgfns based my new account w/ my cgfns id...until now, i'm using my 2nd account.

This is not always the case, and people here have been charged for the two accounts and were required to pay the fees for both.

This is the point that I am trying to make. It does not always work out as it did for you. And if it did not for you, then you would owe them twice and a large sum of money for many.

just email them...

in my case, i shifted from another course to nursing. i wrote the school of my first course & the school of my nursing course when i applied online. as a result, there were 2 education verification forms (to be printed) that should be filled in by the 2 different schools. cgfns thought my first course was also nursing. i couldn't edit the information anymore. so what i did, i just emailed them to cancel my first course. since then, i never had any problem with my cgfns application.

thank God I passed the exam just recently!!
