Having both petitons on working and immigrant-is it possible?

is it possible to be petitioned with immigrant if one had already signed up under H1b?Response is greatly appreciated.

Yes it is possible but if H1b is void for what ever reason you will still have to leave the US and wait unless your PD is current and can AOS or visa has already been issued

Thank you very much Silverdragon for the much awaited response.I thought it is not since my friend told me I will be facing legal issues when I sign up with both
petitions.by the way, i am currently waiting for H1B approval..and hopefully praying I'll be lucky enough to be approved soon..Thank you once again..

A lot will depend on your contracts that you have signed but you can have to petitions H1b and GC as long as both are aware and that you know there maybe financial penalties
