Medical Re: H1b Visa for nurses under FY 2010
Im waiting for my notice of receipt. My employer told me its somewhere in May or early June. Hope this works. I think the H1b visa is good only for Specialized nurses. Like nurses in the ICU, HDU, or any specialized area.

As of the last update at end of April, all the H1Bs have still not been allocated - so presuming you meet requirements, all those that applied should get one this year.

Work in a specialized area, such as ICU, OR, it must be verifiable experience and it helps to take a certification test. When you work in the specialty the nurses will guide you.

What is your speciality?

hi to those who are applying H1B visa or has already applied and waiting for approval. Just a few questions to asked, but first of all let me tell you something about myself. I have passed NCLEX exam and currently working in ICU here in Europe. My questions are do you know of any employer in US that sponsor H1B nowadays?and what are the basic and other requirements needed to apply a H1B visa?Do advances courses pertaining to your current speciality advisable?and that should be based on US based curiculum/system? Hope someone out there would try to answer my questions please. Thank you.

Your training needs to be BSN or equivalent and being specialised will help in finding a employer.

hi! i am a RN from the Philippines with a currently approved h1b.. if you are a BSN graduate and with an experience in critical care nursing, you may be eligible to apply for an h1b visa.. i just send my resume to an international recruiter last february, they ask for my credentials and they petitioned me right away.. you may contact me by email so i can recommend you to my petitioner and you can inquire about your plans of applying for an h1b..
