hi! just made a career shift from dentistry to nursing! graduated from nursing school in the philippines this march2006. am preparing for the local board this june and at the same time reviewing for the nclex at kaplan (phils). can anyone offer some advice on whether taking the nclex in hk would fastrack my opportunities to work in the u.s. (in states that do not require cgfns results)? much obliged to all your inputs! hope to hear from you guys!

You are much further ahead to get the NCLEX exam done first, and you do not even need the local boards there to work in the US. Just NCLEX-RN and the series of English exams, and a Visa Screen Certificate. Plus an employer, and that is it.

Of course, you will have immigration things to take care of.
