after i got my VT license for example & then there's a sudden turn of events(a miracle happened & retrogression is lifted) & I want to work in CA right away, will an employer allow me while im processing my re-endorsement to CA from VT? Ok, I have the situation as most nurses here in this forum wherein my CA NCLEX will be expiring too & no SSN. I want to endorse it to VT instead of waiting for the CA BON to grant me an extension. Waiting means there will less time for me to think of an alternative then at end they won't give me any. I also have a tourist visa. In other words, if I possess a VT license, & I want to work in CA, will I be able to work as soon as possible & wait for the re-endorsement to CA or should i wait for the reendorsement to finish first before I work?
A response would be greatly appreciated.

Ca will not give you a license straight away unless you give them a SSN so working in Ca on VT license will not be possible. You will have to wait before working in Ca

You have no Ca license to endorse so usually need to apply for application by exam and meet BON requirements. Looking at 2-6 months depending on how busy they are. If you have a sponsor in Ca and then look to working elsewhere a lot will depend also on what sort of contract you have signed

hello, my license of origin(phil) has already expired but I have renewed it, I don't have a copy yet. It will take 2 months.
Is it okay to pass the application with you current license expired or must you wait for the new license to arrive before submitting to vermont?

thank you

Hi! could you help me with this matter.I am on a visitors visa right now and have passed the California Nclex exam. i am applying for an endorsement in Washington but sad to say Washington Department of Health would not process my endorsement since i dont have my license no.I cant get my license from california since i dont have my SSN but a friend of mine told me that i could apply for a TIN instead of SSn and California BON would accept it and will issue my license but the problem is i called IRS and they said i am not qualified to get a TIN but how come the friend of my friend was able to get one when we are in the same status?he said i have to go ta a notary public,do you have any idea on how to go about it.thank you
