Smile Re: getting trouble from CA (endorsement to NY)
I'm confused because ICHP and CABON are not the same. CABON cannot send the check to ICHP since you address it to California Board of Nursing. If there are problems with your application like for example you sent the wrong form, CABON will send you a letter regarding this. When I was endorsing my California License to Hawaii ,all I did is fill out the application form which is the Endorsement form for Hawaii, then send the Verification of License to California which they will send to the state where you are requesting for endorsement. The only problem I had is Hawaii is requiring all their Foreign Educated applicants to have their education evaluated by CGFNS. This is called the course by course evaluation. As soon as Hawaii received those document my license was processed. Try to check if NY is requiring the same document. That's the only thing I'm thinking of maybe they want you to contact CGFNS. So clarify this with NY board of Nursing and ask them what else you have to submit to them.

I know that processing these documents takse 2-3 weeks since you need to work asap. I suggest you go to NY board of Nursing Licensing Department and ask them that you want to obtain a TEMPORARY PERMIT so you can legally work while waiting for your premanent license. This permit is good for three months. NY Board of Nursing will give you a form in which you have to let your employer sign as soon as you have this paper signed, they will give you your temporary permit. So cheer up one of your problems is solved. In the meantime call CABON again and ask the operator that you want to talk to the supervisor, tell them your problem and ask for instructions on what to do to solve it. I hope everything will be fine. I also have kids so I know what you are going through. TC and god Bless!

Maybe I didn't explain it correctly, CA board cashed the money for themself for the process which they did to ICHP.My case in CGFNS already closed, because I asked for CVS to NY department, so all my documents are in NY department, they approved my education, they need only form- 3 from CA. Where can I check information about temporary permit? I found information only about limited permits;
Limited Permits

Note: If you have ever taken the NCLEX-PN examination, you are not eligible for an LPN limited permit. If you have ever taken the NCLEX-RN examination, you are not eligible for an RN limited permit.
It is not for me, I already passed the Nclex examination.

Oh, I'm sorry what I meant is temporary license which is entirely different with IP Interim permit. You can find that information at the bottom of your application form you fill out for NY BON. When I passed my NLEX-RN, I was hired immediately so I asked Hawaii BON if I can work since I'm just waiting for the permanent license to be sent to me. They gave me a form which my employer have to sign after that I was able to get the temporary license on the same day. It is good for three months. Try to ask NY BON. Goodluck and God bless!!

CA are in the wrong sending it to ICHP especially if you indicated on the license verification forum to send it to NY. You could contact ICHP and see if they have the said document and ask whether they could forward it to NY BON due to the mistake by CA BRN.

Azalea, thank you. I'll do it.
Silverdragon,I already contacted ICHP/CGFNS,they explained to me that all documents they receive with my name - they don't need them, maybe they will transfer it to NY, because all my documents are in NY now, maybe not...
NY department wants to see this application and then decides if this document is good for my license, but this document addresses to ICHP and NY wants it for NY department.
Thank you !!!!

I'm so sorry Zivka for all the trouble that you're having through California. I hope you get it resovled ASAP so you can start working. It's frustrating when you have your hands tied and there's nothing you can do to speed up the process.
