you need to get married and he needs to complete DS230 before your interview if you are wanting him to go with you and be included on your application. If you get married after your interview then you are looking at years before he can join you

As Anna mentioned, if they are not included in the actual DS-230, they will not be getting a visa to accompany you. The only exception to this rule is a baby, they can get added if they are delivered after the DS-230 was submitted. But no one else can be added.

So, if they were not already added, then they will not be able to join you for minimum of two years, more than likely longer.

I140 is just for you and about your job. Once married and before your interview DS230 paperwork needs to be completed and once NVC asks for your DS230 his will also be submitted and will have interview same time as yours. NVC will request visa fee bill for both of you once visas are available

The petitioner or employer will be the one to pay for the nurse's visa fee bill, that's is usually written in the contract, the nurse will only shoulder her dependents visa fee bill.

The employer does not always pay the immigration and visa fees for every person that they hire. It should be discussed with the nurse and the employer. If anyone is covered, it will only be the nurse, and they are responsible for payment for their dependents.

But not all facilities pay for the employee. It is actually better that the nurse pays it in many cases, then no money is taken from their check for it. Many times it is at a rate of 700% interest for the fees. And with the rates going up, expect the actual costs to the nurse to be more in many cases.

yes, i think i will cover for my hubby-to-be. my question is my visa fee bill was paid before i sent my ds-230. i thought petitions for spouses should be done before completion of ds-230 so they should be included in the petition. is it possible that i can add my hubby-to-be on my ds-230 which is to be resent as per requirements of NVC? i sent my ds-230 last year sept 2006 but right now NVC is asking updated ds-230's before processing. is it possible i can add my hubby-to-be and pay for the visa fee after the interview or should it be done before the interview in order for them to be included in the ds-230?

hope you understand my question. thanks in advance.

When are you getting married? Not sure but thought you had to be married for hubby to be added on DS230. It has to be done before your interview, nothing will be processed until you have paid the bill and they will not interview unless paid. You may be able to pay on the day of interview but I always thought you had to pay before
