friend moved from Lebanon- how does she get started in getting license

it's actually my friend's sister who has moved form Lebanon to here-Houston, Tx and whats to know how her sister can get her license here in th US. i was wondering if anyone can help and tell me of any agency that is here in houston that could help with this process, or also in texas whichever one exists.

If she is already here she doesn't really need to use an agency. She will need to apply to Texas Board of Nursing for licensure. They require the CES (Credentials Evaluation Service) that is provided thru CGFNS. If she doens't already have a green card, she will also need the Visa Screen Certificate, again available thru CGFNS. Their website is www.CGFNS.org.

An dif she needs a green card, she will also need to pass the series of English exams.

Once her credentials have been accepted by the Texas BON, the she will get permission to sit for the NCLEX exam, not until then.
