Hello,
I am a Canadian nursing student and I am intrigued with the prospect of forensic nursing. I only just heard of this specialty recently and I'm already sold on it. I've done some research and found programs that offer the post RN certificate in forensics, but I was wondering if anyone knew about job opportunities. I've decided that when I complete my degree I will try to specialize in forensics, but I want to make sure there are job openings for me here in Canada. Thank you for your time and consideration on this matter.

It depends on how you define forensics. Some use it in a psych kind of way, others as a crime scene coroner work kind of way. My friend took forensic courses from mount royal by distance (http://www.mtroyal.ab.ca is the website I think) and now works with criminal psych patients.
