Yeah, that's pretty much as above, but I think the references can be mailed by you as long as it's sealed in an envelope...but try checking it in some other sites, i forgot...I'm still in the process of gathering the needed documents and I'll be taking the IELTS by October. I suggest you also take IELTS first, because they pretty much won't bother with your application if you still haven't have the required score (band score 7 on each area)...Well, goodluck to us!

Yup, you got it right except number 4. You don't need to go to Malacanang and have your docs authenticated (it's no longer in effect). What you should do instead is take it to DFA (passport and PRC docs), have your passport authenticated and the PRC docs, have it "ribbonized". One doesn't have to present a marriage certificate if one's last name stays the same, meaning, if you are female and get married, then, you have to present a marriage certificate. But it doesn't apply to male species even if they get married.

Yes, CAP is mandatory to be registered as an RN in NZ, and with at least 6 mos experience (experience as a volunteer is accepted as long you have certificate to prove it).
And, g3 is right, take your IELTS first.

Earliest available sched for CAP would be sometime January 2010.

finally, i have questions:

1. i have ribbonized PRC docs in april2008 that i thought would be needed here in abu dhabi but apparently, my current employer never asked for them.. (just to inform people, that i arrived here thru the sponsorship of my husband and was a direct hire..) anyways, will these documents still do good for me in case, for my NZ application?

2. does CAP should be that 6-8weeks long? i mean, its not really long, but in my case, i am only allowed to go for 6weeks vacation by my employer..

3. is it best to resign from my work if i plan to be NZ RN and take CAP? or can i do it on tourist visa and hopefully, if i pass and be able to hunt for employer, go back to my work and then only arrange for my resignation from my work? and then come back again to NZ for good?? is that possible at all?

and also, to everybody already working in NZ, hows the economic picture out there? i've read in one of big heart's thread, that one can always get a job there even at this point in time of global crisis or economic downturn..

hi guys. i passed ielts last january with a score of 7.5. all categories above 7. i'm interested in this new zealand job. but i have no hospital experience. i passed the local nursing board in the philippines and passed NCLEX this month. i also had my Credentials evaluation service from CGFNS which evaluated my highschool education, 1st course of biology and 2nd course of nursing. i wonder what my options are.

Hi! It's Jeff here from Sydney NSW, I'm currently having my studies here in Australia but unfortunately not for nursing.

Anyways...
I am a RN in our country and have 8 months hospital experience and have my IELTS all modules = 7. (I am currently working in nursing home as an Assistant in Nursing but i think this doesn't matter.)


I just have some questions:

1. Is it true that i we only need 6 months hospital experience to be qualified for Registration?
2. Certification of my documents, since I brought it with me, can I have the authenticated by the Justice of Peace here in Australia instead?
3.My passport's about to expire this Oct. 19, 2009 but my visa will expire July 2010, should I renew my passport first?
4.I am planning to apply in Rotorua, Waiariki Institue of Technology, is it ok there?


I really need help because I am processing it on my own and would like to spend my own hard-earned money and not asking from my parents.

If an applicant already received the acceptance letter from NCNZ, how long should he/she complete the CAP?
I mean is there an expiration for the acceptance letter just like the ATT in NCLEX?

to maraingel I sent you a PM. at the nursingcouncil.org.nz website click on the registration link at the upper left hand corner. then download the "information to register as a nurse in NZ" and the "application form " for applicants from the rest of the world . found at the bottom of the page. hope this helps





hi there wishin4NZ i almost fall to those consultant or agencies just to come and work in NZ and thank God i saw and learn a lot of things here like i dont need agency just to register. I already download the NZ application form from the link that i just saw from one of the good advisers here and im planning to start it now, but my question is how's the status of NZ nowadays, the threads are way back 2007 and i just want to know the updates such as cost of living, demands of nsg ? if it is still an advisable to apply to NZ.
