Aloha allnurses.commers!!!! It's been really cool surfing this site, it's my off day today n happen to come across this wonderful site while searching for information regarding Nursing Overseas (US, UK, Oz n NZ) n hv been hooked the whole day...hehehe! It's comforting to actually be among loads of other nurses, feels just like home!!!

Am planning to migrate hopefully by next year if i can get the correct info n feedback...so here's a big question on my mind at d'moe...to anyone who has any experience with migrating from South East Asia to US, UK, Oz or NZ through an agency, any tips n feedbacks?

Hi and welcome

There has been a few changes for immigration to the UK more so recently. It is now harder for nurses outside the EU to get a job plus changes with our governing body NMC, suggest you check this site out http://www.nmc-uk.org/aArticle.aspx?ArticleID=1653 If you are looking at working in the USA suggest you read the thread at the top of this forum called Primer. Immigration to both the USA and UK is going to take over 12 months even if going with an agency and if your country comes under the list of countries under retrogression for the USA you are looking at even longer until something is done and visas sorted. There are a few threads on the retrogression so would start reading them.

Good Luck
